Stanford University, Postdoctoral Scholar, Lecturer, Civil Engineer, PhD
Nikola Blagojević is a postdoctoral scholar at the Stanford Urban Resilience Initiative within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and previously at the Chair of Structural Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering at ETH Zurich. His research focuses on regional recovery modeling and urban disaster resilience assessment. He has also developed tools for hospital resilience assessment. He is the lead developer of pyrecodes, an open-source software for simulating how cities recover from disasters. His broader research interests span earthquake engineering, software development, post-disaster data collection, and climate risk and resilience assessment. He also collaborates with the insurance industry to enhance tools for business interruption loss assessment. He holds a Ph.D. from ETH Zurich and an M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Structural Engineering from the University of Belgrade, Serbia.
